Started playing WoW with original classic WoW (I was very young) and started playing it more competitively at the end of TBC and into WOTLK.
I played on Korgath (Vengeance BG) throughout TBC and WOTLK where I got to arena with many top players in Constructive Criticism, a guild in WOTLK that became the #1 average rated guild in the world on arena junkies at the time. Personally the highest arena rating I got was around 2920 in wrath. I multiclassed rdruid, dk, holy paladin and warrior all to at least a gladiator arena rating throughout the WOTLK expansion. I played cata/mop for about a month each - quitting in order to play competitive CS 1.6 / SC2.
I've been playing games all of my life, mostly due to the influence of my older brother. Throughout my lifetime (25 years old) I've played WoW arenas, CS 1.6, SC2, DOTA2, and Overwatch competitively (either with formal sponsored teams or climbing the in-game competitive ladder). I currently have my BS, MS and am en route to getting my MD - focusing on academia is a big reason why I've taken many breaks from gaming altogether. In addition to gaming/school life I've been lifting for 9 years now, with some stints of powerlifting in between. I was a nutrition and weightlifting coach and helped prep a few state champion bodybuilders for their shows. My main hobby these days is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) and I'd recommend any competitive gamers to try it out - great way to work out, choke people out and us nerds tend to get really into it :)
